It Takes A Village
Dear Girls Camp is an enrichment sleepaway summer camp for teen girls, established by Simeaka Melton in the summer of 2009.
Dear Girl Camp is the ultimate girls experience!
As a program extension of Dear Girls Academy, Inc., Dear Girls Camp was purposely created to provide a unique and safe experience for girls and women to cultivate sisterhood, ignite their brilliance and to provide an educational platform where girls could practice using the power of their voice, while having alot of fun.
Throughout the years Dear Grls Camp has been intentional about adding value to the lives of those served through its enrichment programs. Dear Girls Camp's curriculum intertwined with creative writing, life skills, the arts, interactive workshops and health and wellness, girls are not only prepared to break cycles of domestic violence, homlessness and proverty, girls are also inspired to live life rising above expectations.
It has always been the philosophy of Dear Grls Camp that it takes a village to educate, celebrate, prepare and inspire girls to be incredible and together we make the greatest impact.
Dear Girls Camp has been a leading provider for nearly a decade by successfully creating innovative ways to engage girls and women in real life scenarios. As such, providing the ultimate girls experience to girls who are underserved, as well as girls who are directly affected by domestic violence, homelessness or poverty has been an urgent focus.
