Preparing For Camp

Culture Collective Camp is a fun enrichment sleepaway summer camp.

 

Culture Collective Camp is totally unplugged and has been intentionally developed to effectively impact and enrich the lives of its campers. While Culture Collective Camp is the ultimate girls experience and our campers are fully immersed in sisterhood, brotherhood and fun, our objective is to bridge the educational divide by increasing reading and writing literacy.

 

Culture Collective Camp 's creativity is key in achieving enrichment!

PACKING LIST

All items should be packed into NO MORE THAN ONE (1) DUFFEL BAGS and ONE (1) back pack.

All items should be packed into NO MORE THAN TWO (2) DUFFEL BAGS. 

CLOTHING

  • Sweatshirts/Jackets

  • Sleepwear/Pajamas (No Night Gowns)

  • Sweatpants / comfortable clothing for yoga/fitness/outdoor movement

  • Undergarments AND Socks

  • Old sneakers and flip flops (sneakers will get wet, dirty AND messy)

  • Swim Shoes

  • T-Shirts (without logo, school club or church names)

  • Swimsuits (age appropiate)

  • Flip Flops (for the shower)

BEDDING & LINENS

  • Blanket OR Sleeping Bag

  • Pillow and  Pillowcase​

  • Twin Sheets

  • Towel (2) and Wash Cloths

  • Pool Towel

  • ​Laundry Bag

PERSONAL CARE

  • Necessary Hygiene Products

  • Towels and Wash Cloths 

  • Toothpaste and Toothbrush

  • Soap or Bodywash

  • Deodorant

  • Chapstick

  • Sunscreen

  • Caddie or Gallon Size Ziplock (to carry shower/hygiene items)

CAMP LIFE

  • Necessary Hygiene Products 

  • Flashlight WITH batteries

  • Swim Shoes (for canoeing)

  • Two Plain White Tshirts (for tye dying)

  • Flip Flops for the shower room

  • Sunscreen, Bug/Insect Repellent

  • Light weight AND light colored jacket

  • Extra Plastic Bags For Dirty or Wet Clothing

  • Reusable water bottle (Labeled With Name On It)

  • A Pair Of Loose Light Colored Jogging/Sweat Pants

  • Swim Wear/Bathing Suit & Towel (ABSOLUTELY NO BIKINI’S)

We requests that electronic devices are NOT brought to camp including but not limited to following items:

  • iPads/Tablets

  • Speakers

  • Handheld Games

  • Smart Watches

  • E-Readers/Kindles

One of the best experiences campers get from summer camp is the opportunity to be independent and unplug from technology.

 

Unplugging allows campers to connect and engage in the total experiences. If your camper is flying into camp, please have them hand their electronic devices into their counselor upon arrival. We will store it securely for them until camp ends.

Animals and Pets are NOT permitted.
